Waiting for Someday...
"Slight hope It dangles on a string Like slow spinning redemption" ~ from the song Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional Got a letter from my Attorney on Saturday...
"Based upon my conversation with detective ---- of the Michigan State Police. It is my understanding that the case against both you and your husband will not be procecuted. But, Detective ---- contacted me as he would like to obtain any and all e-mails so that he could possibly file a charge of filing a wrongful police report against the alleged victim in the case. My only concern comes about due to the fact that this may add some additional information to their ongoing investigationand/or the possiblity that they may go after either of you for possibly solicitation and/or any other underage issues. What I need to know is, Are you confident that the alleged victim is 18 or older? As you can see, I have concerns with turning over the e-mails in question...." So yeah, sounds good huh...? We did a little snooping online and came across a local alumni website saying she graduated in 2003. So according to that info she appears to be at least 18. We don't plan to have them do anything with her, although I wish the lying bitch could go to jail. It just isn't worth the risk of having them turn everything around on us, God knows that things can get twisted and miscontrued so easily.
Hopefully she has learned her lesson. You put yourself out there you can run to the police making stories up if you get caught with your pants down literally. We dealt with a ton of drama this weekend, My friend just moved back to Michigan from FL. and he is back with his ex, In a toxic relationship. They Drink and fight and it's so crazy... one minute they are basically telling each other they are sickened by one another the next minute they are making out. The problem is they have a (almost) 13 yr old daughter whom I just met, She is so sweet and smart and polite... Just a dream to have around. How she came out to be such a great kid I will never know... She stayed the night on Saturday, Both of them were fighting, drunk all day. Disgusting actually. Poor kid. Ryan and I were talking, Almost makes you want to adopt her, Ryan's own words this morning were " Sure we don't have money, But we have love and we could give her lots of that, She needs it" Maybe it is the motherly instinct in me... I just feel so much for her, growing up with those two. She talked with me the other night as we drove to go get her overnight stuff... Jammies etc. she said " Most kids want their parents together, I just want mine to stay apart." She also said that she is stuck "babysitting" (her own words) them all of the time. so sad. There was little I could do but tell her that I will be just a phone call away if she ever needs me. Last night she called, " guess who is here ? she said" The cops had come because her mom and dad were physical and her dad put his fist through their van window... oh isn't that nice...? I asked her if she was ok and if she wanted me to come get her and she said yes she was alright and she would be leaving to go to a friends house in a bit. So what do the cops do...? they drop him off at my house and put me on the spot... " he said he could stay here, Otherwise we are taking him to jail" nice huh...? How can you say no..? I just told him and the cop, I WILL NOT deal with him drinking and if he does, he's out. He listened to me lecture him about priorities for most of the night, she called for him a few times and I finally told her not to call anymore. He fell asleep on the couch and this morning he wanted to be dropped off at home... Somehow I feel as though by the end of the week he/she or both will be in jail. I feel sorriest for Morgan, She is amazing and it is so unfair. Oh the drama... Glad my life is tragically boring.
