My entries are becoming fewer and far between I know, Am I ashamed...? Not really I know that ya'll don't want to read about all the mundane things in my life... Summertime for me is filled with work... hours of commute ( or so it seems ) and just vegging out after work trying to relax.
Yesterday was my dad's 64th birthday, and today is my oldest brothers 44th... we celebrated barbque style at my mom and dad's last night. my brothers and nephews were there my sister-in-law and of course mom and dad. Ryan was at work and my other SIL was awol with a couple of my neices... We ate and talked watched the kids play and just enjoyed the evening.
Right after my dad had his stroke he went into this phase where he felt like he had to buy the grandkids big toys so that they would remember him or something (I think he figured the end was near) well one of the things he bought was a ride on truck for Evelyn... Poor thing she was terrified of it for the last couple of summers and then last night we took it out and she had a ball on it... The older kids had set up small cones for soccer and the decided it would be fun to run them over... It was cute to watch her enjoying herself on it finally. Pictures are here... Oh and just so you don't think I let my kids pay in the middle of the road... That is actually the driveway between my parents house and my brothers house... Although you wouldn't be far off if I didn't want to tell them to go play in traffic sometimes... *smile*
Ryan is off today, He drove me in, And we went to Target at 8:30... SO WEIRD ! there was no one there. He was hoping to get the new Dashboard Confessional CD/DVD special release thing that only Target offers, but it was already sold out... While he was checking for that I browsed the clearance clothing racks, Last time i was in I found a cute tank for $2.
4th of July is fast approaching... We have no real plans... There is always the food fest in lower harbor, food vendors, live music, beer tent...The Parade has been moved this year to the lakeshore, which is gonna be issue with Parking. The fireworks are gonna be held on the 1st too... Just everything is messed up, so I am not too into it, I think I would rather just stay home.
I enjoy Pioneer days much better... Saturday the Parade is fun and we go down to the Picnic after and eat and watch the battle of the bands... then the fireworks... those are probably the best ones in the U.P.
Still hung up with the legal crap, In fact I haven't heard anything from the Lawyer so no news/good news...
been hanging out terrorizing people on myspace a bit... All of the surveys are so addicting...
